So…this was an odd thing to see when I turned on the Wings-Yotes game tonight.

Best series of the playoffs so far. I didn’t think the Sharks would do it after falling apart mid-way through the game but they hung on and managed to finish off the Wings. What a spectacular game, though. Great action at both ends, good goaltending from both Niemi and Howard and an exciting finish. Thornton and Boyle were simply unreal in this game. I think it was the best game I’ve seen Dan Boyle play in San Jose after I think about it. You can also get rid of the “choke artist” reputation that’s attached to the Sharks name now because I’m pretty sure two WCF in a row doesn’t equate to choking. Helps that Thornton is playing amazing now. Also, Marleau wasn’t great this series but I was glad he got the game-winner because he really needed that. Can’t wait for Vancouver/San Jose. Going to be amazing, hopefully.
The best part? No more Red Wings fans! Yay!
What an awesome game tonight. I think the Red Wings have a good chance at pulling this off too. Dominated San Jose for most of this game and Niemi was the only thing that was keeping the Sharks from being blown out. I’m sure being at home and getting Ryane Clowe back should help the Sharks a little bit, though. Still, if the Wings do pull this off, then people can stop calling us “The new Sharks” from now on. Because blowing a 3-0 lead in a series is a lot worse than getting swept in the second round, in my opinion.
This is the best thing I have ever seen involving the Red Wings.
